May We Fly is the small stationery shop of artist Leana Fischer. Her products are made to spread delight and celebrate the little things.
May We Fly began as a way to engage my creative spirit by celebrating the little things that make life special. As an artist and designer, I do that through painting and drawing. Though I went to school to be an architect and always thought that was my path, after several years in an office I found myself feeling the need to use my hands and create again, like I had in school. Little by little the business grew, and today my artwork and stationery brings delight to customers around the world.
I'm ready to take the next step with my business to scale up production and begin wholesaling with retail stores around the country. I would also like to expand my product lines to a wider variety of products, such as fabric and apparel. Both of these steps will require a large capital investment on the front end, so I would use this grant to kickstart both endeavors. I would also use it to hire an assistant. Right now it is just a one woman show, which limits my ability to grow the business.
