We are Miami's first Bean to Bar chocolate makers using only single origin cacao beans sourced from small farms around the world.
Ricardo "Cao" Trillos, has traveled around the world to learn how to make chocolate from scratch turning cacao beans into the most finest chocolate confections. Cao decided to change his life career as accountant and turned his love for chocolate into a business establishing Cao Chocolates in 2009 in Pinecrest, FL. During this sweet journey, Cao Chocolates have received several recognitions, including “Diamond of the rough” and “Rising Star Award” from the Coral Gables Chamber of Commerce.
2016 was as exciting as stressful year for Cao Chocolates. After trying to expand our production in a new location, and learning that is not as easy as sound, we decided to stop the project and gave two steps back to recover and keep moving forward. We will use the prize to increase our manufacturing capacity buying equipment and raw material. The demand for our product is increasing and we need to be able to meet our customer's expectations. Fedex grant will make a big impact in our business.
